Minority Activities

Connecting with Undergraduates, Graduates and Professionals

To advocate ethnic and cultural diversity in the field of endocrinology by promoting the participation, visibility and advancement of underrepresented minorities.

The underrepresentation of minorities in the sciences is a major concern to the scientific community. In endocrinology, The Endocrine Society’s Minority Affairs Committee is leading the charge, seeking to enhance cultural diversity within the field by increasing the participation, visibility, and status of minorities within the science of endocrinology. The society’s diversity program includes minority activities at Society meetings, minority student outreach, mentoring receptions, endocrine research seminars at minority undergraduate institutions and opportunities for research and professional development training.
