| Position | Criteria for Eligibility | | President-Elect | - Candidate must be an active member in good standing for 5 years and recognized as a leader in the field of endocrinology
- Candidate must have recent experience serving as a Council member, Vice President or Secretary-Treasurer
- Candidate must meet the Council-approved definition of basic scientist, clinical scientist, or physician-in-practice according to the established rotation
- Individuals may serve only one term as President
| | Vice President | - Candidate must be an active member in good standing for 5 years
- Candidate must have recent experience serving on Council or on committees, preferably as chair
- Candidate must be recognized as a leader in his/her constituency (basic scientist, clinical scientist, or physician-in-practice) who can help advance the field
- Candidate must meet the relevant Council-approved definitions of his/her constituency (basic scientist, clinical scientist, or physician-in-practice) according to the established rotation
- Individuals may serve only one full term as Vice President
- Past Presidents are not eligible to run for Vice President positions

- Candidate must have recent experience serving on committees, preferably as chair
- Council members nominated for designated seats (basic scientist, clinical scientist, or physician-in-practice) must meet the Council-approved definitions
- Individuals may serve only one full term as Council members
